I love working on icons. The research, sketching, and design of iconography takes time and effort. Especially in the instances where they need to be custom for a product and relative to a userbase. A well-designed iconography set can help a user navigate an interface with ease.
With the set of icons I designed for the Telmate kiosk, I tried to make them simple and understandable. When designing iconography, I take time to think about how visually an icon or set of icons can help the audience using the product.
Deciding on a color palette for a product is as complicated as developing the product itself. I have worked on two products where I created the desired palette for the application and for the overall brands.
GettingOut Product Colors
For Leade.rs the colors were meant to be bold and fearless whereas, for Telmate's GettingOut, the color was still colorful, but less dramatic. They were expected to convey a welcoming palette for any user, regardless of the circumstances of the user's visit.
